Quick Facts

AutoCAD software was originally released in 1982 and is now in its 20th version.

Since 2013, it has been listed by the U.S. Department of Defense as a critical asset for military defense and for U.S. intelligence and national security.

In 2019, it was the most downloaded CAD application globally.

It is used in the U.S. government, the automotive, aerospace, architecture, construction, engineering, and manufacturing industries, by governments worldwide and by scientists in the physical and life sciences.

AutoCAD History

The earliest software for commercial CAD was a fully-featured CAD system named Microstation (the original name of AutoCAD). It was developed by the same company that brought you AutoCAD’s predecessor, AutoLISP (AutoLISP was marketed by International Business Machines, or IBM, which also produced the personal computer, the first computer that an ordinary person could use without supervision).

This original Microstation was used to draw 2D plans and view 3D models of buildings and mechanical components. A fully-featured 3D CAD program, Microstation 3D was available, but it was very difficult to use for most companies that were only planning or drafting 2D drawings.

What was needed was something that could combine the functionality of Microstation 2D and Microstation 3D into a more user-friendly app. Microstation 3D had become widely used by architects, engineers, and anyone with a need to view 3D model.

The original Microstation 3D could handle only a few types of 3D shapes, including a variety of standard solids, such as cubes, spheres, cylinders, and cones. It couldn’t handle many other types of shapes such as surfaces or non-standard solids. One of the features of Microstation 3D was the ability to make plans and sections out of the 3D model.

The next release of Microstation, Microstation 6, had the capability to make plans and sections out of the 3D model. This capability was a major improvement because it made the drafting process faster and easier.

The next big leap in Microstation was its release in 1983, the Microstation Display Manager (also known as the M3D toolkit). It used the X-Windows graphical user interface (GUI) to view 3D models from Microstation. The M3D

Legacy AutoLISP source code is available for use by the AutoCAD community.

AutoCAD has also supported a scripting language called QuickLisp. QuickLisp is available in the Autodesk Exchange Apps or by installing it on a computer or other networked computer with AutoCAD.

AutoCAD Architecture
AutoCAD Architecture is a cross-platform, 3D CAD program developed by Autodesk (formerly MicroStation Software). Its developer’s goal was to provide native Windows and Linux support, enable features such as native 2D CAD, 3D editing, 3D file sharing and collaboration, to free the user from file conversions and project file conversions between AutoCAD (formerly MicroStation) and other tools. Development on AutoCAD Architecture has been on hold since November 2018.

In 2006 Autodesk purchased Infinite Innovations and they went on to develop AutoCAD Architecture as a successor to Infinite Innovations’ MicroStation Architect product line. Autodesk announced in November 2018 that they are discontinuing AutoCAD Architecture.

On November 30, 2018, Autodesk issued a press release and laid off 30% of its workforce, which included many of its AutoCAD Architecture staff.

pH-responsive liposomes encapsulating doxorubicin via pH-sensitive polymeric gels.
pH-responsive liposomes were prepared from dioleoyl-phosphatidylethanolamine (DOPE) and 1-stearoyl-2-ethyl-rac-glycero-3-phosphatidylethanolamine (DSPE-PEG). The liposomes were grafted with one layer of PEG-hydrogel composed of N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) and DSPE-PEG. The pH-sensitive liposomes incorporated inside the NIPAM/DSPE-PEG hydrogel had large particle size and entrapped drug of more than 60% in the release stage. The core pH of these liposomes was nearly neutral due to an excess amount of DOPE. The release profiles at pH 5 and pH 7.4 of doxorubicin (DOX)-encapsulated liposomes in the hydrogel were completely different. At pH 5, the released amount of DOX was almost equal to the encapsulated amount, while at pH 7.4, the released amount of DOX was approximately a half of the encapsulated amount. Furthermore, we have confirmed that the release of DOX from the liposome is regulated by a gradient in pH from the surface to the interior of the liposome. The liposome is thought to be a promising carrier for drug delivery at the cell surface.Diederick Trendley

Diederick Trendley (born May 12, 1993) is an American professional gridiron football cornerback. He signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2015. He played college football at West Virginia.

College career
Trendley was an undrafted linebacker out of West Virginia, but instead played cornerback at West Virginia for his redshirt senior season, intercepting six passes, returning 15 kicks for 344 yards and making seven tackles. After the season, Trendley announced that he would forgo his final year of college eligibility and enter the 2015 NFL Draft.

Professional career

New York Jets
On May 12, 2015, the New York Jets signed Trendley to a three-year, $1.37 million contract with a $13,925 signing bonus. He was waived on September 5, 2015 and was signed to the practice squad the next day

What’s New In AutoCAD?

Easily create building elevation models:

Add buildings to AutoCAD drawings with just a few clicks. Import building footprints and the building symbol from existing drawings into the design. Apply a building symbol and pick an elevation style and create vertical and horizontal sections, including the desired geometry, materials, and elevations. (video: 3:40 min.)

Powerful interactive rendering:

Tightly integrate your Revit models into AutoCAD. Use the 2D and 3D workspace views to work with your model and map your design and your model into the same space in the same time. (video: 3:40 min.)
